Instagram data deletion

Add your confirmation code to the end of this page's address to see the status of your request, like this: /instagram-data-deletion?code=YOUR_CODE. The code was returned to Instagram when your deletion request reached us, and Instagram shows it alongside the request in your account settings.

What gets deleted

When you remove Growth OS from your Instagram account, or ask Instagram to delete the data we hold, we delete all of the following:

• Your Instagram user ID and username.
• Your Instagram access token and its expiry.
• The record of when your account was last synced.
• Every Instagram post we had synced for the account, including captions, media links and the metrics we retrieved (reach, impressions, likes, comments, saves and plays).

Deletion happens immediately when the request arrives, not on a schedule, and it is permanent. We keep no backup copy of Instagram content after deletion.

Requests we cannot fulfil

We have no grounds on which we refuse an Instagram data deletion request, so none are declined. If a request ever could not be completed, the reason would be shown on this page against your confirmation code. Note that this covers the Instagram data we hold. It does not delete your Instagram account or anything held by Instagram itself, and it does not close a Growth OS account.
